Personally, I get where Ferrari made this decision from, Kimi is older, he’s going to have to leave soon, sadly. Leclerc is on the same level as Seb, and as they said Leclerc could keep pressure on Seb to stay up and perform well.
Will Kimi retire? Will another team take him on?

i hope kimi stays on for another year somewhere..... i’ll miss him when he goes
seb n ferrari will destroy leclerc... he’ll either play nice and become a nice solid wingman... or he’ll go head to head with seb and we’ll see a lot of dnfs
at wich point the tifosi will rip his head off, tar and feather him, have him drawn and quartered and hanged..... then they’ll stab him

Right, somebody who knows his place. Maybe they should have gotten rid of Seb....

I hope Kimi stays somewhere too
But as said above, he races to win, and no other team that would take him has a comparable car it seems.

I think making that decision now will ruin Vettel’s chance of a WDC this year. Because if Kimi is retiring, he is more likely to want to finish this season for himself, rather than supporting Seb.
But the internet is also reporting that Leclerc has a Ferrari contract but will stay one more year at Sauber on a Ferrari salary (possibly to appease Vettel).
Meaning...I’m not believing anything until there’s an official announcement.

tbh if he goes at ferrari... i kinda hope he lands at sauber
i figures that would make it 50/50 odds of getting kimi of old back
course the other half of that 50 is him just phoning it in completely and not even trying
dude would be able to help sauber a lot with getting the car right tho... as is... it aint slow... be interesting to see what happens if that were to occur

I hope LeClerc is to Vettel what Riccardo was to Vettel at Red Bull.

Seb WILL be faster than YOU, if he leaves I have to be a Ricci fan. I went from Mika to Kimi, Bo77as doesn’t do it for me.

Yeah, I mean all it is now is speculation, but everything seems to point at Seb staying, Kimi leaving, and Leclerc taking that seat.
If they do the Ferrari salary at Sauber for him, then Kimi definitely will play by his own rules until he’s officially retired by Ferrari.

I doubt this will have an impact at all.

I want Ferrari to know I am not happy and I am no longer a fan after Kimi leaves. I am only a Ferrari fan because Kimi went there. I follow the Kimi. I like Danny Ric, I will have to be on his side through Renault, whatever happens.

I think if Ferrari does this, they can kiss a championship next year goodbye. It is going to take at least a year for LeClerc to be up to speed. They should keep Kimi for one more year, then when the rules shakeup comes get LeClerc in there since the pace is totally up in the air.

Still more rumors
Leclerc is pretty new, it makes way more sense to start him in 2020. I will wait for an official announcement.
